Change Starts With Me

Life is beautiful and exciting but without changes, it is boring. Change is the spice of our lives and that change should start with me.

Being ourselves is not bad especially in dealing with other people. Everyday we do the same routine. Waking up early on school days, prepare for school then off I go. Then in the afternoon, assignments, projects  and texting sometimes. I cannot even help my mother in doing household chores because of time mismanagement. Life is becoming dull and boring. It's time to think for a change- I have to change my outlook in life. Have some leisure time with the family then eventually with friends and neighbors cause spending sometime with others makes one's life colorful.

I must not expect other come to me. I must initiate changes in me first so as to welcome others to follow. I should be aware with my surroundings and if ever I see or feel something is wrong, I should example to correct the wrong doings or situation. I must realize myself deeply and closer to make changes whenever it is needed.

New Year, New Me

Still The Same...

Each of us has his/her own New Year’s resolution. New Year’s resolution is our promise to ourselves that we will change our bad attitudes or something that we would like to do that we did not do during our past years.

For me, I do not believe in New Year’s resolution. It is just a word or a promise and I believe that promises are meant to be broken. Every one of us really commits mistakes. We are not perfect. Everything is imperfect.

That’s why I do not have any plan to have a New Year’s resolution because I’m sure I cannot do it. I don’t want to change myself; I will just minimize that foolishness of mine. We have all our wrongdoings but only I need are those who can really accept the whole me.

Reflection

                                                           Forever and ever…

Graduation is fast approaching. Last second quarter, I felt an excitement because I really want to graduate. I want to go in college already. I want to experience the life of a college student. I want to have a different surrounding. I want to meet more teachers and students like me.

But then, I realized, how about my classmates, my teachers and my alma
mater? Don’t I miss them? Am I really ready to leave them? No, it is very hard for me to leave them. They have been part of me.

I almost cry every time I see them laughing. I realized how important they are in my life. I don’t want to lose every single day with them. I want to be with them all the time. The happiness I feel every time I am with them is really different.

I know that someday, I will miss them and wish that time could bring back all the memories that we had. I will cherish all the memories that we had whether it is good or bad. The thoughts and experiences that we shared to each other will remain in my heart and mind forever. I will never forget them. Forever and ever...

Going Global Trough English Language

Nothing Is Impossible

When we think on how to communicate world widely,

we think that it is very impossible. Yet, through the use of

modern technologies, everything is possible. Inventors say,

“Nothing is impossible         We all know that the international language is

English. Because of it, we can communicate to other people

with different nationality. Through the usage of English, we

also proved that we can go along with them.

Nowadays, Global communication is

expanding easily through the use of technology; we can

easily communicate to other people even outside or inside

our country. English is very important in our life. When we

know how to speak or understand English, they will not call

us “barbaric”. Because sometimes, some of the instructions

written in the gadgets we have is English and it makes us

ignorant. That’s why we should improve our English

Proficiency.

Equal rights, Equal Oppurtunity

                      We are created equal
God created us equal. Even though we are not the same in appearance, color, economic status, characteristics, attitudes, and others, we are still equal in the eye of God. God created us according to his likeness.

In our house, our parents do not treat us equal. Sometimes they give love to our sisters or brothers more than the love they give to us. In our school, our teachers do not treat us equal also. They might have their favorite students.

In our locality, we do not treat our neighbor’s equal compare to our family because they say that, “Blood is thicker than water”. In a company, the owner does not treat his/her employee’s equal; he/she has his favorites. He/she will promote his/her favorite employees even though they do not deserve that position.

We treat one another unequal. Because of this, we cannot avoid confrontations in our lives. Yes, we may say it is unfair for not treating us well but this is the thrill in our life so that we will strive and work hard.

That's why we should not expect an equal rights and equal opportunity because life is unfair, what about equal rights and equal opportunity, just be contented of what we have and live fairly.

Essence of Christmas

What Christmas should be?

Christmas- it is when we celebrate the day of birth of Jesus Christ. This is one of the most awaited series of event in our life before we welcome another year.
Before and during Christmas, we have a lot of activities. One is, we make or buy our own Christmas tree and put some Christmas decorations. We also make our surroundings bright by the use of Christmas lights.

At night, some children will have their Christmas carol. Some of us will also attend a Christmas party. During Noche Buena, we prepare a lot of foods. This is the time we give, receive and open our gifts given by our Mom/Dad, Godparents, and others who treat us very special.

These are our activities before and during Christmas. We feel so happy when we have all of these. I know that this is just a temporary happiness. As days pass, our problems will continue to stay in our minds. We cannot hide on it.

Christmas is the time for us to give love, forgive, and ask for forgiveness. We cannot live happily if we have our enemies. To reach the permanent and real happiness, we must know the true essence of Christmas.  And the true essence of Christmas is to give love, forgive, and ask for forgiveness. Forgive and ask for forgiveness to your enemies! Give love!
